Motivation as a Lifeblood

Motivation is what energize and propel us towards the achievement of our goals in life. We all need motivation to cope and succeed in life. Motivation and bathe has few things in common, they are both essential for human and one can’t get enough of them; that’s why they were both recommend daily. Motivation is broken down into three main elements which are:  Mastery – Autonomy – Purpose.

I will give briefing on each of the three elements below and how you can utilize them on a daily basis in achieving your life goals, dreams and aspirations.

Autonomy is a concept found in moral, political and bio-ethical philosophy, it is the ability of a rational individual to make an informed and un-coerced decision. Being autonomous is one’s ability to take responsibilities of his/her own actions, decisions and thoughts. This is very important when choosing the type of life you want to live, the type of education and profession you want in life. Autonomy is an inborn trait but you have to work on building it as you are growing up in life if you don’t want to be what the world want you to be. People need autonomy over task (what they do), time (when they do it), team (who they do it with), and technique (how they do it). So much to be autonomous, it will make you the master of your own destiny, you will have control of your life as nature as destined you; knowing you are a god in your own right.

Mastery is comprehensive knowledge or skill in a particular subject or activity. Mastery is made and developed, it is the process of continuous practicing of what you love doing with aim and will to be better in that which you love doing. Mastery can be sometimes difficult, some professionals like footballers can’t do without training or playing matches when they have to whether they like it or not. The more practice, training and matches played the better every soccer player becomes. You can also make it fun just like learning on a daily basis and you will be perfecting your skills and becoming master in that which you love doing. You should not expect to be a master in three days as no great success of mastery can be attain overnight, instead you should sacrifice more time to practice continuously and tenaciously in order to take your mastery up to a greater height and achieve your proficiency.

Purpose is the reason for which something is done, it is a person’s sense of resolve or determination. The secret to some people’s high motivation at work is as a result of purpose, they find purpose in their work. Purpose is what gets you out of bed every morning to go school or place of work willingly, because you know what you’re aiming to achieve. Purpose is what is keeping you going every day and making you stay positively alive for you know what you are living for. Purpose is the aspiration to do something that means a lot to you no matter what it takes in order to achieve a greater goal.

If you really want to walk the journey of life successfully in this 21st century, I implore you to make sure you go along with your MAP – Mastery Autonomy Purpose. I highly recommend Drive by Daniel Pink if you want to understand more about motivation 3.0.
